1. Peterborough is home to the world’s highest hydraulic Lift Lock

2. Peterborough is home to the Canadian Canoe Museum, which has the largest collection of canoe, kayaks and paddled watercraft in the world.

3. Petroglyphs Provincial Park, located in Peterborough County had the largest known concentration of aboriginal rock carvings in Canada

4. You can see 2 of only a handful of authentic Jacquard looms that can be viewed in North America at Lang Pioneer Village Museum, just outside of Peterborough

5. Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park is the largest wilderness preserve south of Algonquin Park
