At Fairmont, we’re committed to making a difference in the communities where our guests and colleagues live, work and play. More than 20 years ago, we pioneered our comprehensive Green Partnership Program, through which we’ve worked diligently to minimize the impact our properties have on the planet. In addition to the establishment of Green Teams at each of our hotels, our Green Partnership program led to the creation of environmentally conscious initiatives such as Eco-Meet, Greening our Greens and our Eco-Innovations Signature program.
However, sustainability is about more than just the environment. We focus our efforts across three areas of priority— social, economic and environmental. For us, it’s about demonstrating accountability and integrity in the way we conduct business, improving the well-being of local communities and ecosystems, addressing the environmental impacts of our operations, and engaging our stakeholders in a meaningful and collaborative manner.
Sustainability Teams at each of our properties represent our passionate commitment to being a responsible business and to following the principles of sustainability across our operations. In addition to our commitment to measuring and improving sustainability performance in the long term, the Fairmont Sustainability Partnership provides the framework by which Fairmont’s hotels and resorts operate around the globe.
